Which iPhone 15 do you have?
Settings › General › About shows the model name. Each one below takes its own screen, so the exact model matters when you call.
| Model | Screen | Port | Worth knowing |
|---|---|---|---|
| iPhone 15 | 6.1-inch OLED, Dynamic Island | USB-C | First non-Pro iPhone with the Dynamic Island. |
| iPhone 15 Plus | 6.7-inch OLED, Dynamic Island | USB-C | Big non-Pro screen. |
| iPhone 15 Pro | 6.1-inch OLED, ProMotion, always-on | USB-C | Titanium frame, Action button. |
| iPhone 15 Pro Max | 6.7-inch OLED, ProMotion, always-on | USB-C | Titanium frame, Action button, 5x telephoto camera. |
USB-C: new connector, same problems
USB-C did not end charging-port trouble. Lint packs into it the same way it did with Lightning. The thin tongue in the middle of the port can bend or crack if a cable is pulled out at an angle. And liquid in the port triggers a “Liquid Detected” alert that stops charging until it is dry.
If a known-good USB-C cable wiggles, falls out, or only charges one way up, bring it in. Bring the cable too, so we can see it fail on the counter.

Screens: Dynamic Island on all four
All four 15s are OLED with the Dynamic Island. The 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max add ProMotion (up to 120Hz) and an always-on mode, so they take a different part than the 15 and 15 Plus even where the size matches.
iPhone screens are $80–$160 with tempered glass included; the exact figure for your model is quoted at the counter. With iPhone 15 and later on iOS 18, Parts and Service History (Settings › General › About) can show a display as “Used” if it came out of another iPhone, or “Unknown” if it is not a genuine Apple part or was not verified. Apple says that does not affect using the phone, but it can affect trade-in value. Ask which part we are putting in.

Back glass: a separate panel on every 15
Unlike the 14 Pro, the whole 15 line has a back glass that comes off as its own panel instead of being bonded to the frame. A cracked back on a 15 is a different job than on a 12 or a 13. It is still quoted at the counter after we look at it — including whether the frame underneath took a hit.
On the 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max, check the titanium corners. A bent corner can stop a new screen from sitting flat. If the frame is too bent, we tell you before we start.
Battery: the 15 shows its cycle count
The 15 is the first iPhone that shows its battery cycle count, manufacture date, and first-use date in Settings › General › About. Battery Health is still under Settings › Battery. Bring those numbers in; they help, but the counter test is what we go by.
A battery that drains overnight or shuts off with charge left is a battery look. A phone that will not charge on a cable but charges on MagSafe is a port look. We split those at the counter. Battery jobs are quoted at the counter.

Price and timing
What we post, and what we quote at the counter
- iPhone screens are $80–$160 with tempered glass included. The exact figure for your iPhone 15 model is quoted at the counter or over the phone.
- Battery, charging port, back glass, and board work are quoted at the counter for the phone in your hand. Call or walk in for an exact quote.
- Screens, batteries, and charging ports are usually same-day when the part is here. Board work and water damage are slower. If we do not have the part, we do not start the job.
- Walk in at 332 N Azusa Ave, West Covina, CA 91791, corner of Workman and Azusa, next to Leprechaun Liquor. No appointment. Call (909) 292-8295. People drive in from Covina, Azusa, Baldwin Park, Walnut, and La Puente — it is the same West Covina shop.
