The symptoms that belong on this page
- Percent jumps, then the iPhone is dead in your hand.
- It powers off in a parked car even when the meter still shows charge.
- Overnight it loses half, and it did not used to.
- The cable has to sit at one angle or charging never starts.
- You already bought a new brick and a new cable. Still the same.
- Someone told you to just get a new phone. You would rather not.
Battery versus port, on this bench
We open iPhones on this bench when the story is power, not glass. The photo on this page is a real open chassis with the battery still in it. If the glass is the problem instead, go read iPhone screen repair. If it only charges at one angle or the cable falls out, that is usually the port, not the battery: iPhone charging port repair. If you do not know yet, walk in anyway. That is what the counter is for.
Same-day is the default for a straight battery or dock replacement when the rest of the phone is honest. If water or a charge event cooked the board, we will not call it a battery job to make the visit feel shorter. Board work is covered on same-day iPhone repair — “same-day” there still means screens and power first, board when we can tell you the truth about time.
